Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use LearnQuest. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.
1. Who you are agreeing with
Kristian Mandrup, trading as Blueforge Studio (enkeltmandsvirksomhed)
[c/o address — to be added]
[postcode and city], Denmark
CVR: [to be added on registration]
Contact: admin@blueforge.studio
"We" and "us" means the above. "You" means the person with the account.
2. What LearnQuest is
LearnQuest is a set of apps for learning languages through chapter-based lessons — vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation and practice — with progress, streaks and a shared household mode.
LearnQuest is in beta
This matters, so it is near the top rather than buried:
- It will break sometimes. There is no uptime guarantee.
- Features may change or disappear. What is here today may not be tomorrow.
- Data may be reset. If we ever need to wipe beta data, we will email you first, in time for you to do something about it.
- It is free during beta. We are not charging, and we will not start charging without telling you in advance.
If that is not acceptable for how you want to use it, please wait for the stable release.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or over to create an account.
- Give us an email address that works. It is how we reach you about your account.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Households are how you share with family.
Households and family members
If you create a household, you are responsible for the people you add to it — including any children. You decide what they can see and do, you can see their progress, and you can remove them at any time.
Child profiles belong to your household, not to the child. They have no account, no login and no email address. When you delete the household or the profile, that profile's data is deleted.
4. What you may and may not do
Use LearnQuest to learn languages. Beyond that, please do not:
- Scrape, bulk-download or systematically copy the lessons, audio or artwork
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute the content
- Circumvent payment, or share an account to avoid paying
- Attack, overload or probe the service
- Upload anything unlawful, or use the service to harm anyone
If you do any of these we may suspend or close your account. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and explain why.
5. Content and licence
We own the content. The lessons, artwork, audio, illustrations and the software are ours, or licensed to us. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership.
You get a licence to use it. Personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, for you and your household, for as long as your account is open. That is a licence to learn from the material — not to copy, publish, or build a competing product from it.
Your own data stays yours. Your progress and anything you enter belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it and we do not use it to train AI models.
6. Paid plans
LearnQuest is free during beta. If and when we introduce paid plans:
- We will tell you the price, what it includes, and when it starts, before charging anything.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, from Settings, and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Prices include VAT where applicable, charged at the rate of your own country.
- Right of withdrawal. As a consumer in the EU you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase and get a refund. If you ask us to start your subscription immediately and then withdraw, we may charge for the part you used. You do not lose this right by starting to use the service.
- If we raise the price of an existing subscription, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and you can cancel before it applies.
7. Availability
We try to keep LearnQuest running and will fix things when they break. During beta we make no promise about uptime, and we may take the service down for maintenance with little notice.
We are not liable for interruptions caused by things outside our control — your internet connection, your device, or our hosting provider.
8. Ending it
You can stop at any time. Delete your household from Settings and your data is deleted with it, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we are legally required to, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue LearnQuest, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your progress. If you have paid for a period you cannot now use, we refund the unused part.
9. Liability
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your statutory rights as a consumer under Danish and EU law are not affected by these terms — where they conflict, your statutory rights win.
Subject to that: LearnQuest is a learning app provided as-is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data where you could reasonably have kept your own copy. Where we are liable for a paid service, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
10. Changes to these terms
We will post changes here with a new date. If a change materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use LearnQuest after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can close your account.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes go to the Danish courts.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law, or of your right to bring a case where you live.
Before going to court, please email us — most things are easier to fix by talking. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
